Chips integrate full 802.11n solution

The RT3350 router-on-a-chip and RT3390 client 802.11n wireless chipsets integrate the radio, baseband, and power amplifiers on a single die. The RT3350 includes an 802.11n MAC and baseband, a 2.4-GHz radio, a 320-MHz MIPS 24K CPU core, a five-port Fast Ethernet switch and PHYs, system memory, and a power amplifier.

The RT3390 802.11n PCIe client solution delivers 7X throughput and up to 30% better range compared to legacy 802.11g devices in NetBooks and laptops. It has a 2.4-GHz power amplifier and low-noise amplifier, power detector, transmit and receive switch, and diplexers in a 8 x 8-mm package.
