Providing a wireless link of up to 450 Mbits/s, the Maxi-Fi BEAM450 802.11n MIMO chipset supports software-configurable simultaneous dual-band. The system integrator can configure the MIMO chipset on-the-fly from a three-spatial stream 450-Mbit/s 3 x 3 system (at either 2.4 or 5 GHz) into a simultaneous dual-band system with 150 Mbits/s in one band and 300 Mbits/s in the other.
Simultaneous dual-band enables robust QoS provisioning for demanding video applications in crowded wireless environments. The chipset includes RS9330 802.11n baseband chip and either the RS8330 dual-band MIMO radio chip or the RS8331 dual-band MIMO radio chip with high-power-amplifiers.
