Class D audio amps offer industry’s highest power
Capable of driving 600 W, the TAS5630 and TAS5631 Class D audio amplifiers are said to feature the highest stereo output power in the industry, more than twice that of the closest comparable devices and with 70% fewer components to lower the system-failure rate. These parts integrate PurePath HD technology to achieve audio bandwidths greater than 73 kHz and enable high-definition media playback and ultralow distortion in next-generation AV and DVD receivers, Blu-ray home theater systems, home theater-in-a-box, mini/micro component systems, and professional audio systems.
Both 300-W stereo and 600-W mono parts offer greater than 88% efficiency — eliminating the need for transformers or large heat sinks while further reducing BOM and total cost solution. It also offers 0.03% THD at 1 W into 4-Ω load (stereo). The TAS5630 and TAS5631 are available in analog-input and PWM-input configurations, respectively, in PHD and DKD packages. (Ea/1,000: PHD, $5.45; DKD, $6.35 — available now.)
