Class G audio codec consumes 2.5 mW

Measuring 3 x 3 mm, the DA7210 Class G audio codec features an onboard general-purpose filter that enables fine-tuning and optimization of the output signal for small speakers and enclosures. The part includes a true-ground, capacitorless headphone driver and a quiescent headphone playback power consumption of 2.5 mW and only 5 mW operating power under listening conditions.

In addition, the codec uses output-signal envelope tracking across multiple predefined levels for true ground operation and features an integrated PLL for sampling-rate flexibility. The DA7210 also features stereo playback/record, an SNR of 100 dB for the DAC and 95 dB for the ADC, a 24-bit sampling rate up to 96 kHz, 40 mW into a 16-Ω headphone, and an integral I2 C/PCM interface.
