CMOS oscillators feature ultra low jitter

The UX71/UX701 series high performance CMOS crystal oscillator family features RMS jitter performance as low as 0.1 ps (12 kHz to 20 MHz). The 7.0 x 5.0 mm device meets the clock source specifications for 40G or 100G communication systems, among other high performance equipment. Peak–to-peak jitter is 25 ps typical, 40 ps maximum, and frequency range is 40 to 156.25 MHz.

The device features 20 to 50 ppm temperature stabilities, a 2.5 or 3.3 V supply, and optional industrial temperature range. Applications include networking, servers and storage systems, professional video equipment, test and measurement, and FPGA/ASIC clock generation.
