Coaxial connectors suit backlight LCDs

The 1.1-mm high LCEDI (LCD coaxial embedded display interface) connector family is designed to perform in LVDS and embedded DisplayPort (eDP) applications, suiting it for LED backlight LCD panels of advanced notebook PCs.

The connectors can accommodate consistent digital data transmission through 1-, 2- or 4-DisplayPort standard lanes at bit rates of 1.62 or 2.7 Gbits/s through each lane. The connectors are licensed by I-PEX, and are fully compatible and intermateable with their Cabline-VS series. (From $0.75 each in volume — available now.)
