Color LCD display plugs directly into VGA analog output
Allows CRT users to easily switch over to flat-panel technology
The Video Analog Monitor Panel (VAMP) is designed to ease the transition
from a 9- or 15-pin analog monitor to a digital flat-panel display. The
panel plugs directly into the regular analog output connector and includes
circuitry that converts this output to signals appropriate to the LCD
display.
The VAMP also overcomes signal and biasing incompatibilities between
different flat-panel displays that might be used with a computer system.
The VAMP measures 12.5 x 8.5 x 3 in. in its metal frame and comes with a
10-in. LCD. The display has a resolution of 640 x 480 and a 512-color
capability. An infrared touchscreen is optional. The complete unit, with
touchscreen, is packaged to NEMA 12. ($4,863–stock to 30 days.) Computer
