COM Express modules feature QorIQ CPUs

The COMX-P2020 and COMX-4080 single-board computers use the COM Express small form factor and high-performance Freescale P2020 and P4080 multicore QorIQ processors. The COMX-P2020 features two-processor 1.2-GHz cores, while the COMX-P4080 has eight 1.5-GHz cores.

They offer compact footprints 95 x 95 mm for the COMX-P2020 and 95 x 125 mm for the COMX-P4080 and energy-efficiency. In typical use, the COMX-P2020 requires only 12 W. The modules can support local bus, multiple I2 C buses, DUARTs with flow-control, and IEEE 1588 clock signaling. They offer various combinations of NOR flash, NAND flash, EEPROM, Gigabit Ethernet, 10-GbE XAUI, PCIe, SRIO, and USB 2.0 interfaces. (COMX-P2020, $550; COMX-P4080, $1,250 — available now.)
