The FireFly computer-on-a-module is based on an Intel Atom Z510 processor and has 512 Mbytes or 1 Gbyte of DDR2 DRAM, 10/100 Ethernet, a four- or five-wire touchscreen interface, audio and display support, an RS-232 port, and two USB host ports. It takes 6 to 9 W and targets ultramobile PCs, mobile Internet devices, and other battery-operated devices.
The 20-mm-thick 95 x 114-mm board has PATA and SATA disk interfaces and will support dual 14.4-V quad-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer smart batteries with hot swapping. (From $425 — contact company for availability.)
