Commercial envelope tracking is first of its kind
Introduced as the first member in its Coolteq.L product family, the NCT-L1100 envelope tracking IC is offered as the first commercial chip of its kind. The company claims that the chip reduces wasted energy from power amplifiers in mobile handsets by more tha 50% — further cutting heat dissipation and extending battery life.
The part is ideal for smartphones as it demonstrates power conversion efficiencies in excess of 80% and supports the maximum 20-MHz channel bandwidth of LTE. Other specifications include an input voltage range from 2.5 to 5.25 V and an output voltage range (with buck-boost capability) from 0.5 to 5.4 V.
It is compatible with multiple air interface standards, including TDD and FDD LTE.The NCT-L1100 is available in the WLCSP package and can be easily integrated as a standalone IC or within an RF front-end or PA module. (Contact company for pricing and availability)
