Common-mode filters safeguard fast interfaces

The ACMF-03 and ACMF-04 series of thin-film common-mode filters provide noise suppression of differential signal lines in high-speed and high-density digital signal applications such as USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, LVDS, etc. They significantly suppress common-mode noise in the range from several hundred MHz to 2.5 GHz, while reaching a wide bandwidth of 5 to 6 GHz for differential signals.

The -03 and -04 (0.88 x 0.68 x 0.50-mm and 1.25 x 1.00 x 0.50-mm, respectively) devices come in 30-, 53-, or 90-Ω impedances with cutoff frequencies between 2.1 and 7.5 GHz. They handle -55˚C to +150˚C operation and cost about $0.17 ea/1,000.
