Compact 15- and 30-W open-frame supplies suit medical applications

Traco’s 15-W and 30-W AC/DC power supplies feature a reinforced double I/O isolation system that meets medical safety standards IEC/EN/ES 60601-1 3rd edition for 2x MOPP approved for an operating altitude of 5,000 m. The leakage current is below 100 μA, making the units suitable for body floating applications. An efficiency of up to 91.5% enables a high power density in the 1.0 x 2.6-in. (15-W) and 1.36 x 3.34-in. (30-W) versions.
The full load operating temperature range is from –40°C to 60°C with 85°C at 50% load derating. The units comply with IEC 60601-1-2 4th edition and ISO 14971 for application of risk management to medical devices. The quality management for design and production is certified to ISO 13485, while production quality is controlled according to the acceptance criteria of IPC-A-610 class 3.
