The MPM-40Mx series is a family of compact 40-W ac/dc power modules certified to EN 60601 third edition and EN 60950. They suit applications requiring a combination of compact size, robust performance and medical safety approvals. Six standard models operate from an input of 85 to 264 Vac, providing regulated single and dual outputs of 5, 12, 15, 24, ±12 or ±15 Vdc. The series targets a wide variety of medical and patient care equipment applications.
All power modules are protected from over load, over voltage, over temperature, and short circuit faults. Standard features include filtering to EN55022 Class B, reinforced insulation and an I/O isolation of 4,000 Vac rms. The MTBF of the power module series, per MIL HDBK 217F, is greater than 200 kh. The devices are encapsulated in a 3.5 x 2.5 x 1.18-in. package. They are also available in a chassis mount package with terminal connections. The chassis mount version can be mounted on a standard DIN rail with an optional mounting kit. All models are specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range from –40° to +80°C (ambient).
