The xPico Wi-Fi SMT certified embedded device server module (XPCW1003100B) comes in a compact SMT form factor enabling easy serial-to-Wi-Fi connectivity. The 18.3 x 30.1 x 3.0 mm module works to IEEE 802.11 b/g/n at 2.4 GHz, takes only 6 µA in standby mode, and has a mounted antenna.
The units simultaneous soft AP and client mode allows for easy service while maintaining a secure network connection. The module has two 3.3 V serial ports for up to 921.6 Kbit/s data and dual SPI, USB 2.0 host ports. It features WPA, WPA2, AES 256 security and operates over –40° to 85°C. Available December 2014 for $19.90 ea/5,000.
