The Scimitar series, a 1U high, 1- and 2-kVA rack-mount sine wave inverters, are well suited for telecom systems. They are designed for 19-in. rack systems and capable of producing 115- or 230-Vac output from a 12-, 24-, or 48-Vdc power source.
The inverters have DSP-controlled power circuits that use a high-frequency PWM technique to achieve 92% efficiency and low-distortion 50- or 60-Hz sine waves. Output voltage and frequency can be programmed from the front panel or via an integral RS 232. The inverters meet the requirements of safety standards UL60950-1, CSA22.2 No. 60950-1, and EN60950-1.
