Compact modem module operates from 300 to 9,600 bits/s

The TS75C32DP modem data-pump module offers all the functions necessary
for multistandard modems transmitting from 300 to 9,600 bits/s. All of the
main CCITT recommendations–V.21, V.22, V.23, V.22bis, V.32–and Bell
standards are satisfied in a board area of about 4 x 2 in. The module
includes three preprogrammed CMOS digital signal processors, three modem
analog front end devices, and a serial/parallel sync/async converter.
Additional features include programmable filters, DTMF dialing, and power
consumption of 1 W. The TS75C32DP operates in all phone network conditions
and can cope with near- and far-end echo, covering up to two satellite
hops, even with a frequency offset up to 10 Hz. ($95 ea/large
