Arrow, a Fortune 200 company with over 15,000 employees, was founded in 1935 as Arrow Radio, a retail store that sold radios. Maurice “Murray” Goldberg launched the store on Cortlandt Street, in lower Manhattan’s Radio Row, the birthplace of electronics distribution. Arrow Electronics Inc. was incorporated in 1946 when RCA and Cornell, radio manufacturers, began to franchise Arrow Radio.
Arrow Electronics became a global provider of products, solutions, and services to not only industrial and commercial users of electronic devices and established computing solutions. The company produces solutions to markets within the telecommunication, information system, transportation, medical, and industrial field as well as consumer electronics.
