Compatible 8-, 32-bit MCUs target medical

The Flexis MM microcontroller product line feature pin- and peripheral-compatible 8- and 32-bit MCUs (MC9S08MM128 and MCF51MM256) targeting low-power portable medical products. The line’s MCUs are designed to meet the rigorous accuracy standards set by the FDA.

The 9S08MM128 provides ultra-low-power operation, USB connectivity, graphic display support, and runs at up to 48-MHz above 2.4 V and 20 MHz above 1.8 V across temperature of –40° to 105°C. It includes a Personal Health Care Device USB stack designed using the Continua Health Organization standards. The 32-bit MCF51MM256 has a 16-bit successive-approximation ADC, a 12-bit DAC, and USB and SPI interfaces. (From $2.08 to $4.60 ea/high volume — available now.)
