The TX53 computer on module is based on Freescale's i.MX53 multimedia processors with a Cortex A8 core and a 1-GHz clock. The i.MX53 supports multistandard-video with up to 1080p, making the module excellent for embedded applications that need high-performance graphics or video.
The 2.6 x 1.2 x 0.16-in. module features a 10/100 Ethernet port with IEEE1588 support, two High Speed USB 2.0 ports, two cameras, and two CAN interfaces. It also has an LCD controller with up to 1,600 x 1,200 resolution, a NEON SIMD media accelerator, up to 2 Gbytes of memory, and availability for at least 7 years. ($179 — available 2nd qtr.)
