Conductive inks and pastes markets – new battlegrounds are emerging

Space is limited – reserve your seat today

Conductive inks and pastes remains one of the largest sectors in all of printed electronics. The market in 2015 will be $2.2bn at the paste/ink level excluding the large yet fragmented and flat membrane switch sector. The market will be divided across many sectors with photovoltaics, touch screens and automotive segments being amongst the top revenue generators. The market will grow to more than $3bn in 2025 but CAGRs will vary widely amongst different sectors (see chart below).

The traditional flake/powder pastes – low temperature and firing types – will continue to command the vast majority of the market but other technologies such as copper or alloy inks as well as nanoparticle technologies will begin penetrating some markets. For example, silver nanoparticles will grow from less than $10m in 2015 to more than $250m in 2025.

The more established markets will register growth thanks to growth in the underlying applications but they will remain highly competitive with dominant suppliers controlling the scene. New market battlegrounds are however emerging as most develop new ink/paste technologies or fine tune existing products to aggressively diversify outside well-known core areas. Today, the key emerging fronts are sensors, wearables, metamaterials and touch switches.

This webinar will examine all the key technologies and markets for conductive inks and pastes. IDTechEx will provide some highlights from its key new report on the topic, Conductive Ink Markets 2015-2025: Forecasts, Technologies, Players, covering:
