Suited for DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD recorders, digital televisions, digital set-top boxes, and car navigation systems, the 24-bit PCM3060 audio codec supports asynchronous operation, allowing the ADC and DAC to operate with independent clocks. The part offers an SNR of 105 dB and support for three-wire SPI, two-wire I2 C, or hardware control.
The DAC outputs can be configured as either single ended or differential. Housed in a 28-pin TSSOP, the codec can be internally set to synchronous mode, where either the ADC or the DAC clock can be selected as the clocking source when only one clock is required. ($1.95 ea/1,000—available now.)
