The 2005 Zebra connector is constructed from alternating layers of conductive carbon and nonconductive silicone that are as thin as 0.0004 in. (0.010 mm). This unique construction results in 500 conductive layers/in., allowing it to work on densely packed boards.
Designed for cost-sensitive consumer electronics, the most common use for the connector is likely to be to connect an LCD display directly to a circuit board, with spacing as close as 0.010 in. (0.25 mm). The connector offers a current-carrying capacity of 50 mA per 0.040 x 0.040-in. pad and can be ordered in application-specific widths from 0.015 in. (0.38 mm) to 0.118 in. (3.0 mm) and lengths to 9.0 in. (230.0 mm).
