TE Connectivity has carried out two major improvements this year in its SEACON Micro WET-CON family of connectors. These, according to the connector supplier, will lead to streamlined manufacturing, faster product turnaround, and expedited delivery.
First, as of March 1, these single-ended connectors are lead-free and Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS)-compliant. Previously, customers had to make a special order if they required the RoHS-compliant connectors.
Also, as of April 1, the SEACON Micro WET-CON family of connectors are available in standard cable lengths of 1 m, 2 m, and 5 m for cable on inline connectors and 0.5 m for hook-up wire on bulkhead connectors.
While longer lengths can still be ordered on demand, standard-length connectors will contribute to reduced lead times. It’s also worth mentioning that as of April 1, TE Connectivity separately sells accessories such as locking sleeves.
