Said to be the first rectangular connector designed to deliver robust, consistently reliable performance through 10,000 mating cycles or more, Han HMC connectors are specially enhanced versions of Han industrial connectors, so any device or machine that can use the latter can switch to the same-sized Han HMC without modification. Optimized for signal and power, the connector suits applications in the healthcare, laboratories, and engineering testing facilities (where devices and machines are often disconnected and reconnected several times a day), as well as modular machine construction and automatic tooling systems.
The series consists of size 10, 16, and 24 Han B HMC housings, inserts with crimp connections, gold-coated crimp contacts with constant spring force, a choice of different docking frames, and modules with Han HMC crimp contacts. All HMC inserts contain high performance grounding contacts to help assure performance even beyond 10,000 mating cycles.
