Connectors eliminate splicing in tough environments

Ideal for rough, high vibration application in such markets as heavy equipment and mining, the rugged ATHD series for size 8 and 12 power contacts is a single-pole in-line connection system designed to replace splices. The RoHS-compliant, IP67-rated, sealed thermoplastic connectors can be installed and repaired in the field, and feature clip slots for a variety of harness mounting solutions.

Using Radsok technology, the connectors support higher amperages than other connectors in their class; the size 8 system is rated to 70 A continuous and contact-retention strength of 156 N, while the size 12 system is rated to 35 amps continuous and contact-retention strength of 133 N. They each have an operating voltage of 1,000 VAC and dielectric withstanding voltage of 1,500 VAC.  Both power contacts can perform up to 100 mating cycles and have an operating temp range of -55°C to 125°C. Additional styles and custom solutions, including resin for higher temperatures up to 150°C and seals for harsh fluid applications, are available upon request.
