Connectors have right-angle options

Right-angle options are now available to a line of 0.70-in.-pitch connectors. The single-row right-angle sockets and headers can be combined with vertical 0.70-in.-pitch connectors to address a variety of interconnect configurations. The 871 series are designed for board-edge daisy-chain applications or to mate boards perpendicularly to each other. They accept device leads and mate with the 870 header series. They feature a low-profile above-board height of 0.104 in.

Receptacle internal contacts (30 µin.) provide optimum conductivity and effective wear resistance. The connectors have high-temperature insulators suitable for RoHS soldering processes. Each 871 series receptacle is a precision stamped beryllium copper Mill-Max #30 contact clip with a pin acceptance range of 0.015 to 0.025 in. diameter and a current rating of 3 A.
