Contact system meets mil/aero specifications
The PosiBand closed-entry-female-contact system is now qualified to SAE AS39029 specifications for military and aerospace applications. Compared to split tine designs, the system’s design creates a greater area of contact interface between male and female contacts. It also provides greater resistance to vibration and corrosion factors found in harsh environments.
Size 20 contacts have a 14-A contact current rating with six contacts energized and 3 mΩ contact resistance. Size 22 contacts have a 10-A contact current rating with six contacts energized and 4-mΩ contact resistance. The contact system is available in standard density, high density and combination D-Subminiature connectors and subminiature rectangular connectors.
