Control IC targets high-performance dc/dc apps
The IR3640M PWM control IC targets high-performance synchronous dc/dc buck applications including servers, storage, netcom, and game consoles. The single-phase synchronous buck PWM controller has integrated MOSFET drivers and a bootstrap diode.
The device uses a single-loop voltage mode architecture to deliver precise output voltage regulation and fast transient response times. It drives a pair of n-channel MOSFETs from 250-kHz to 1.5-MHz switching frequency. The output voltage can be regulated from 0.7 V with a ±1% tolerance over temperature, line, and load variations.
