Controller module has CAN, multifunction I/O

The CR0232 32-bit controller module features four independently configurable CAN interfaces, 32 multifunctional inputs and 32 outputs, and 16 digital outputs — including PWM. The unit targets vehicle service and is programed using standard IEC 61131-3 languages. For communication with diesel engines and powertrains, all interfaces can be reconfigured to the SAE J1939 protocol.

The 257 x 153-mm module uses an Infineon TriCore 1796 processor with 1.25 Mbytes of flash, 256 Kbytes of RAM, and 32 Kbytes of MRAM. It operates from 10 to 32 Vdc and takes less than 320 mA. ($2,300 — available now.)
