Controllers enable single-supply operation

The MIC2166 synchronous dc/dc controllers drive up to 25-A load current. They have an integrated 5-V VDD regulator that enables single-supply operation. The Hyper Speed Control architecture reduces the required output capacitance and supports a VIN of 28 V, and VOUT of 0.8 V. The controller suits set-top boxes, gateways, routers, computer peripherals, and applications with low voltage distributed power requirements.
