The MVAD040 and MVAD065 open-frame convection-cooled ac/dc power supplies are packaged in the industry-standard format with a 1U profile, measuring 2 x 4 x1.3 in. The supplies comply with the stringent demands of the internationally recognized third-edition medical safety standard IEC/EN 60601-1: 2006. They also meet the IEC/EN60950-1 safety standard for IT equipment. The supplies are suitable for use in high-volume applications including medical and healthcare appliances, data storage and networking, and industrial factory automation systems.
The ac/dc power supplies are 90% efficient and do not require additional heatsinking or forced air cooling to operate at full output power. The no-load power consumption is <0.3 W, which meets ErP and Energy Star requirements. They use 90 to 264-Vac input voltage range and are available with a +12, +24 or +48 Vdc output. Operating temperature start-up is as low as –20°C.
