Converter features 20 W in 1-in.2footprint

The TRACOPOWER THN-20(WI) series dc/dc converter modules achieves 20-W and comes in a metal case with dimensions of only 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.4-in. They provide efficiencies to 90%, power density of 51 A/in3 , 2:1 dc-input ranges from 9 to 18, 18 to 36, and 36 to 75 Vdc, as well as 4:1 input ranges from 9 to 36 and 18 to 75 Vdc.

The dc/dc converter modules feature remote on/off control for no-load operation making them suitable for battery operated systems. They target mobile equipment, instrumentation, distributed power architectures in communication and industrial electronics applications. All models feature EN 55022 Class A filtration without external components, voltage trim, 1,500-Vdc isolation, a –40° to 75°C ambient operating temperature, and an optional heat sink for extended operation up to 85°C.
