The converter housed in package (CHiP) DCM is a new platform of isolated, regulated dc/dc converter modules. They provide up to 75.9 W/cm3 and 93% efficiency. The modules deliver up to 2x the power density of conventional dc/dc converters.
The converter modules handle 12 to 420-Vdc input and provides 12 to 55-Vdc output. There are two pre-configured models. The 4623 (46 x 23 mm) is a 600-W device with nominal 290 Vin and 13.8 Vout for applications such as HV Li-Ion battery to 12 V systems. The second is a 3623 (36 x 23 mm) 320 W module features 16 to 50 Vin range and nominal 28 Vout, optimized for 28-V MIL-COTS systems.
