The IQ12 series isolated dc/dc converters target industrial and transportation applications that use 12-V battery systems. The converters have a 9 to 22–V input range, exceeding the requirements of EN50155 for both steady state and transient voltage conditions in 12–V railway systems. They incorporate board-mountable, fixed switching frequency technology, and use synchronous rectification to achieve power 92% conversion efficiencies.
Fully encased and ruggedized for protection from harsh environments, the converter series has eleven output voltages, including 1.8, 3.3, 5, 7, 12, 15, 24, 28, 30, 40 and 48 V. Four power level options are available, including 180 and 140-W converters available in half brick form factor, and the 100 and 75–W versions in a quarter-brick.
