The PH9085 push-pull converter transformer comes in an industry-standard 8 x 7 x 5-mm surface-mount package and is especially useful for isolation of communication interfaces, such as RS485, CAN, MODBus, and ProfiBus applications. The device is part of a low-cost solution for delivering up to 3 W from a low-voltage source.
The transformer provides 2.5-kVrms isolation. Primary inductance is approximately 1,100 µH for all nine versions, which offer various turns ratios. It meets standard EIA481 requirements and starts at about $0.67 ea/10,000.
