Cortex-A12 fills mid-range CPU spot

The Cortex-A12 mid-range processor IP fills the need for a high performance core with virtualization and features a dual-issue 11 stage dynamic length pipeline. The core has support for the big.LITTLE processing model and the extended graphics of the efficient Mali-T622 GPU and the Mali-V500 video processor. The core provides a 40% performance uplift over a Cortex-A9, with same high energy efficiency.

The IP offers greater than 4 Gbyte addressable memory and advanced security with virtualization and TrustZone. The Mali-V500 offers single-core 1080p60 HD encode/decode, scalable to 4K120 while needing 50% less memory bandwidth.
