Measuring only 1.9 x 2.0 mm, the Kinetis MKL02Z32CAF4R microcontroller comes in a wafer-level chip-scale package. It is said to be 25% smaller than any other ARM MCU. The 32-bit device uses a Cortex-M0+ core with 32 Kbyes of flash and 4 Kbytes of SRAM.
The tiny chip operates from -40° to 85°C and has a 12-bit A/D converter, a bit manipulation engine, an analog comparator, and powerful timers for a broad range of applications including motor control. ($0.75 ea/100,000 – samples March.)
