Cortex M3-based MCU is flexible, low power

The SiM3U1xx/SiM3C1xx 32-bit Cortex-M3based microcontroller features precision oscillators with an advanced PLL, a voltage regulator, and six high-drive I/Os (up to 300 mA). The chip also has up to 16 capacitive-touch channels and 32 to 256 Kbytes of flash. The SiM3U1xx includes a USB 2.0 PHY.

The processor uses a crossbar design and GUI-based AppBuilder software that enables developers to optimize their peripheral mix and pinout placement and locate peripherals near connecting components to simplify PCB routing and minimize PCB layers. Current in standby is just 350 nA, with the RTC running. Operating current is only 275 µA/MHz. (From $2.20 ea/10,000 — available now.)
