Cortex M3/M4 MCUs deter security threats

The LPC18S57 and LPC43S70 microcontrollers have Cortex-M3 and Cortex-M4 CPUs, respectively. Both feature an AES-128 encryption engine, two 128-bit OTP memories for encrypted, hardware-randomized key storage, a true random number generator for key creation, and boot ROM drivers supporting secure boot of authenticated encrypted firmware images.

Both MCUs can come with zero or 1,024 Kbytes of flash, 136 to 282 Kbytes of RAM, 10/100 Ethernet, IEEE 1588, USB 2.0, and CAN ports. The LPC43S70 includes a Cortex-M0 co-processor. Also on chip are 10-bit A/D and D/A converters, an LCD controller, a RTC, a motor control PWM, and a quadrature encoder interface. Available now starting from $3.00 ea/4,000.
