Cortex-M4 MCU features EtherCAT, Ethernet, USB

The XMC4300 microcontroller features EtherCAT communication for cost-sensitive industrial applications. The MCU uses a Cortex-M4 core and has DSP/MAC instructions, a nested vectored interrupt controller, and a memory protection unit.

The IC has an event request unit, a CRC engine, 256 Kbytes of flash, 128 Kbytes of RAM, a 10/100 Ethernet MAC module, dual CAN ports, and USB 2.0 host with integrated PHY. It also provides a touch-sense controller and a SD and Multi-Media Card interface, two 12-bit A/D converters, and a D/A converter. The chip comes in a PG-LQFP-100 package.
