The XMC4800 32-bit microcontroller features an EtherCAT node and six CAN ports coupled to a 144 MHz Cortex-M4 CPU. The chip targets industrial control and has up to 2 Mbytes of flash, 352 Kbytes of RAM, four fast 12-bit A/D converters, and two 12-bit D/A converters.
The MCU has two positioning interface modules along with communication interfaces for 10/100 Ethernet, USB 2.0, and SD/MMC. It is available in LQFP-100, LQFP-144 and LFBGA-196 packages and operates over -40° to 85°C or -40° to 125°C. The IC has long-term availability through 2027 or longer.
