CPRI ICs span wireless radio and Serial RapidIO

CPRI ICs span wireless radio and Serial RapidIO

The 80HFC1000/C1001 common public radio interface (CPRI) standard devices bridge adjacent standards in the wireless infrastructure and target wireless base stations. The ICs allow the common CPRI standard to span the interface between the wireless radio card and a Serial RapidIO-enabled base band processing system.

Each chip comes in a BGA324 package and has three CPRI 2.1-compliant lanes running at up to 2547.6 Mbaud per lane. The 80HFC1000 CPRI-to-sRIO device adds four sRIO lanes (sRIO v 1.3 compliant) and is configurable as 1x or 4x port at up to 3.25 Gbaud per lane. The 80HFC1001 CPRI-to-TDM FIC has a 64-bit TDM interface that supports a 150-MHz clock rate along with control pins that provide seamless connection to radio card components.
