CUI Devices adds two MEMS microphones

CUI Devices expands its family of MEMS microphones with the addition of two new devices for active noise cancellation (ANC) applications.

CUI Devices’ Audio Group has added two MEMS microphones designed for active noise cancellation (ANC). The CMM-2718AB-3815NC-TR and CMM-2718AT-3817NC-TR analog MEMS microphones feature omnidirectional directivity and bottom or top port locations, respectively.

These MEMS microphones are suited for use in active noise canceling microphone arrays thanks to their flat frequency response from 20 to 10,000 Hz, high signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of 62 or 64 dBA, and high acoustic overload points (AOP) of 123- or 128-dB SPL, said the company. The operating voltage is 1.8 VDC and the operating frequency range is 20 to 10,000 Hz.

The MEMS devices are housed in small, low-profile packages measuring as small as 2.75 × 1.85 × 0.90 mm. Both models offer sensitivity ratings of -38 dB with tight sensitivity tolerances of ±1 dB. They also provide current consumption as low as 150 µA (150 µA for the CMM-2718AB-3815NC-TR  and 175 µA for the CMM-2718AT-3817NC-TR), and an operating temperature range from -30°C to 85°C. The devices are RoHS compliant.

The CMM-2718AB-3815NC-TR and CMM-2718AT-3817NC-TR are available now. Prices start at $0.83 each in quantities of 500 through distribution. Lead time is from stock to 10 weeks. Please contact CUI Devices for OEM pricing. Click here for the company’s resource library.
