Current sense amp runs from –5 to 80 V

The LT1999 amplifier is designed for bidirectional current sensing in the presence of fast switching common-mode voltages from –5 to 80 V. It offers a 2-MHz bandwidth and guarantees more than 80 dB of common-mode rejection at 100 kHz.

Current sense amp runs from –5 to 80 V

Features include a buffered output with three fixed-gain options for 10V/V, 20V/V and 50 V/V, a gain error guaranteed at less than 0.5%, and and input offset voltage guaranteed at less than 1.5 mV over the full temperature range of –40° to 125°C. The LT1999 operates with an independent 5-V supply voltage, drawing only 1.5 mA while active and only 10 µA in shutdown mode. Offered in an 8-lead MSOP and 8-lead SOP packages, the device is fully specified over four temperature ranges: 0°C to 70°C, –40° to 85°C, –40° to 125°C, and –55° to 150°C.
