Current sense transformer monitors up to 40 A

The CST2010 Ferrite SMT current sense transformer features a maximum sensed switching current of 40 A and operating frequency is 50 to 500 kHz. Primary DCR is 0.00036 Ω for all 11 versions and turns ratio varies from 1:20 to 1:200.

The transformer can reduce power loss by up to 10X, compared to current sense resistors. It has a compact 14.55 X 19.91 mm footprint and ambient operating temperature is –40° to 85°C. Primary inductance is 0.34 to 34 mH and the device has 500 Vrms isolation between windings.  $1.14 ea/1,200, samples available.
