CXP fiber-optic xceiver delivers 120 Gbits/s

The AFBR-83PDZ twelve-channel, pluggable fiber-optic CXP transceiver handles 100 Gbit Ethernet and 12 x 10G Infini-Band (IB-QDR) applications with twelve data lanes in each direction and greater than 120 Gbits/s aggregate bandwidth. Each lane can operate at 10.3125 Gbits/s at up to 100 m using OM3 fiber or 150 m using OM4 fiber.

The module takes only 3 W maximum from a single 3.3 V supply. It operates over multimode fiber at 850 nm and is backward compatible. The modules electrical interface uses an 84-contact edge type connector and the optical interface uses a 24-fiber MTP connector. ($749 ea/100 – available now.)
