DAQ module digitizes at 3.6 GHz

The Model 71640 fast data acquisition module ican digitize one 12-bit channel at 3.6 GHz, or two channels at 1.8 GHz. The unit features a Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA for customer-specific data processing, four banks of 256 Mbyte DDR3 SDRAM, and a Gen2 x8 PCIe interface to host processors.

The module has a multi-channel DMA engine and two transformer-coupled RF input ports. It has provisions for the synchronization of multiple boards for capture of even wider bandwidths. The module is part of the Cobalt system. (From $17,445 — 12 weeks ARO.)
