The battery-powered Tinytag Ultra 2 TGU-4550 data logger can monitor a broad range of temperatures — up to a −270°C to 1,370°C range — by employing K, J, T, or N-type thermocouples with reading resolution to 0.01°C. The instrument can record approximately 28,000 readings at intervals from 1 s to 10 days, and is suited for monitoring applications ranging from food processing operations, including freezers, to industrial processes such as smelting.
The logger provides a burnout alert in the event of thermocouple failure, supports both standard and miniature thermocouple plugs, and allows process and ambient-air temperatures to be monitored simultaneously. Thermocouples are available either as bare wire, for lower cost / faster response, or built into use-specific probes. The logger works with Tinytag Explorer software to analyze data downloaded to a PC via a USB connection. (From £99 + VAT — available now.)
