Dc/dc converter has 5,600–Vdc isolation

The ME series of UL/cUL 60601-1 medical-approved dc/dc converters provide 5,600–Vdc I/O isolation. They operate from 9 to 18-, 18 to 36-, and 36 to 75–Vdc input voltage ranges. The –40° to 55°C operating temperature makes converters suitable for data communication equipment, mobile battery driven equipment, distributed-power systems, process/machine control equipment, telecommunications equipment, mixed analog/digital subsystems, computer peripheral systems, and industrial robot systems.

The converters provide regulated single- and dual-output voltages of 5, 12, ±12, and ±15 Vdc. They have a power rating of 6 W and a typical full load efficiency of 80%. The converters comply with EN55022 Class A-conducted-noise and radiated emissions with an external coupling capacitor and they are protected against overloads and short circuits.
