Dc/dc converter meets telecom needs
A dc/dc converter, the series PKE, accepts inputs from 38 to 72 V and
accommodates 48 and 60 V battery systems. It comes in five models: with
single +5 V outputs, dual outputs of +/-12 or +/-15 V, and triple outputs
of +5 and +/-12 V or +5 and +/-15 V. The converter is isolated to 1,500 V
and operates to 85 degreesC without derating. Efficiency is 85%, and
switching frequency 300 kHz. A low-voltage shutdown feature protects the
converter against battery discharge. The converter measures 3 x 3 x 0.42
